On another note I can again confirm that I continue to have fun with RedGage.com and making (a little) money doing what I do anyhow. It works out to about 60 cents per thousand views, and I have already made more than $2.50 in less than a month from posting pictures, links and such and then posting a link on Facebook and/or Twitter. Since I have started I have seen some people (most with some 3 years or so) that have made more than $1500 again just doing what they already do anyhow... I have been on-line for almost 2 weeks and broke the original dollar-made barrier this morning and have only posted 32 items to date. Some New, Something positive!
Well it has been a while, hasn't it? I continue to be "down on" affiliate marketing and don't think I will ever return to it. My love-hate relationship with Google continues; I love some of their features and hate others... Now to the good news: I have discovered something I did not know about until 5 days ago - RedGage.com http://www.redgage.com/DanvilleTrader/ More comments are bound to follow, because I have apparently made 30 cents already, posting only a few things and being quite NEW to the process. Housecleaning
So as of today there currently is no advertising - affiliate marketing - on my site. That may change again at some other time, but for now I really have no financial stock in the success or downfall of this site. As of June I want to post some more video examples of how-to do certain things on the YouTube front. I know some previous videos have been deleted by user and hope to houseclean those posts also - that's the plan and I am sticking to it... Good old AdSense - GOOGLE AdSense! It take time to learn how to work it. If the get-rich-quick people have a way to automate getting subscribers and views they may be worth a few bucks (I'm roughing it on a shoestring and will not pay - stubbornly) The video was "from the hip", but I thought information spoke for itself. Thanks for looking and enjoy other pages on my blog. Add-on comment May 6 - My account was just blocked, cancelled and refunded to advertisers - I do not know why or have a guilty conscience as to having violated Terms and Conditions, but I am not willing to fight for less than $15 when I just don't care - if you now see blank areas that is where ads have been pulled by Google and I don't even feel like refilling those slots... Thank you again for taking a look at my blog/vlog postings.To summarize things learned recently: Record video in landscape mode to avoid looking like a rookie Speak clearly and more loudly for iPad to register audio better Have a script of what you want to communicate - don't wing it! Check functionality of YouTube video and monetize right away Have fun with the project Look straight at the camera whenever possible Minimize any "ahhh"s - make trial runs until you are comfortable Until a video goes viral it is unlikely that you will make any sizable amount of money, but if you are like me you will get excited about even small breaks. My "main video" has a little over 300 views and that apparently along with other factors allows for an estimated dollar of income.
